Old World Wisconsin’s picturesque 1897 octagonal Clausing Barn, Green and Garden Patio are perfect settings for a rustic Wisconsin wedding or a unique private event. Make your day historic and create a story that will be remembered for generations.

The Clausing Barn

Our authentic 1890s octagonal barn is the perfect space for a rustic wedding reception, unique private event or memorable corporate meeting.

Capacity:

175 guests for ceremony

Ceremony & Reception Includes: 

  • Complimentary use of The Garden Patio for a cocktail reception
  • Customizable table, chair, and bar setups
  • Bridal party dressing area (available 2 hours prior to reservation time)
  • 1 hour rehearsal a day to two before your event
  • Catering Stage
  • Sound system, projector, and screen 
  • Accessible with modern restrooms
  • Proximity to lit parking lot
  • Wedding party access to our historic crossroads village for unique photography locations

The Green

The Green at Old World Wisconsin is our most popular ceremony location. Nestled amongst unique historic buildings with a backdrop formed by the beautiful Kettle Moraine Forest, an outdoor ceremony on The Green will be long remembered by you and your guests.

Capacity:

175 guests

Ceremony & Reception Includes: 

  • White padded chairs
  • 1 to 2 ceremony tables
  • Bridal dressing suite (available 2 hours prior to reservation time) 
  • 1 hour rehearsal a day to two before your event
  • Customizable set-up and tear down
  • Outdoor decorations, such as historic lanterns or white wedding arbor
  • Wedding party access to our historic Crossroads Village for unique photography locations

The Garden Patio

The colorful and secluded Garden Patio is a gorgeous space for a smaller, more intimate wedding ceremony. The Garden Patio is located directly behind The Clausing Barn and works nicely in conjunction with a ceremony on The Green and dinner in the barn.

Capacity:

100 guests for a more intimate wedding ceremony
or
175 guests for a private cocktail reception

  • Outdoor lighting, power, and sound system
  • 1 hour rehearsal a day to two before your event
  • Wedding party access to our historic Crossroads Village for unique photography locations

The Brewhouse

Old World Wisconsin’s newest exhibit building, The Brewhouse is a fantastic location to host an exciting evening gathering, or to enjoy a relaxing mid-day lunch with your tour group. Sample 19th century styled beer, brewed on site and sign up for a beer and food pairing program to learn more about the history of beer in Wisconsin and how to pair certain styles of beer with types of food.

Ceremony & Reception Includes: 

  • Access to a large picnic tent located near the event
  • Setup of tables, benches, chairs, and the bar
  • Two multipurpose restrooms
  • 1 hour rehearsal a day to two before your event

Caldwell Hall

Caldwell Hall mixes the modern comfort of an accessible, climate controlled space with the authentic historic charm of a 19th century hall for a unique dinner or event venue for up to 65 guests.

65 guests

  • White padded chairs
  • 1 to 2 ceremony tables
  • Sheep field or pine forest as your backdrop
  • Modern & accessible restrooms
  • Bridal dressing area
  • Catering staging area
  • Within walking distance of lit parking lot

Picnic Pavilion

Located in the Scandinavian Homesteads area of the museum this venue works for a sheltered daytime family reunion or company picnic. Pavilion is within easy walking distance of our 1860s Norwegian farmstead, the one room Raspberry Schoolhouse and the 1840s Settler’s Cabin.

Capacity:

300 guests

Event Space Includes:

  • Separate entrance gate and parking lot that allows for easy access for caterers, event organizers, and VIPs
  • Modern, accessible restrooms
  • The Pavilion includes plentiful power and lighting and is located near our tram road for easy guest access.
